The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) has an opening for a Sex Offender Treatment Specialist (SOTS) to join our dedicated team and gain invaluable experience working in the public interest to support the fair administration of justice.

MAXIMUM ENTRY AGE: Because this position is covered under Law Enforcement Officer retirement provisions, first-time law enforcement appointees must not have reached their 37th birthday at the time of appointment. Applicants 37 or older who have previous law enforcement officer experience under the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) or the Federal Employees Retirement Systems (FERS) may have their previous law enforcement officer experience subtracted from their age to determine whether they meet the maximum entry age requirement. APPLICANTS MUST PROVIDE DATE OF BIRTH TO RECEIVE FURTHER CONSIDERATION.
Successful applicants for this position must possess licensure equal to or equivalent to : Clinical Psychologist; Licensed Mental Health Counselor, License Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), OR comparable license in a social science discipline such as psychology or social work is required. Must also be a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider in order to receive consideration. Failure to provide copy of licensure(s) will deem your application not eligible.

SOTS responsibilities include assessing and completing documentation on an assigned caseload of sex offenders. Completes the intake using the agency approved risk/needs assessment and complete an Individual Treatment Plan for each client. Facilitate behavioral change in offenders, conduct specialty groups, and liaise with Risk Management Staff to assist transition of sex offenders. Present case load information to committees related to offender planning, risk management issues, and transition

Acts as a liaison and/or consultant with the vendor(s), other CSOSA staff, and national professional organizations regarding program issues and requirements.
