Duties:

  • Performs the full range of activities for grants/agreements that involve significant special provisions. Completes the end-to-end grants and/or agreement administration process. Maintains a portfolio of awarded grants and cooperative agreements and works with awardees to ensure all required reports and deliverables are submitted in the timeframe specified by the terms and conditions of the grant or agreement.
  • Provides technical guidance on issues relating to the criminal records processes and related systems to grantees, contractors, and BJS employees. Provides advice on the design and implementation of national statistical initiatives related to criminal record and statistics improvement programs managed by the agency.
  • Assesses evaluation activities such as the criminal records and statistics improvement programs against short- and long-range objectives. Analyzes factors affecting the costs of the program, and recommends changes in the course of action to maintain adequate funding levels. Performs regular onsite and remote grant monitoring to assess grantees' progress with program objectives and administrative, financial, and programmatic compliance.

    Prepares program plans, solicitations, statements of work, priorities, criteria, and task statements for national initiatives related to the development, automation, integration, statistical analyses, research, and quality of criminal records.
  • Participates in conferences, seminars, and workshops for the purpose of providing assistance to criminal justice practitioners and experts from federal, state, local, and tribal levels of government.
