  • This is an Excepted Service Appointment. Initial appointments to the Peace Corps normally are for 30 months, but may be extended up to 5 years. Employees are paid on the Foreign Service pay scale and receive the same benefits as other Federal employees. A background security investigation will be required for all hires. Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination.

Duties:

  • Researches and/or analyzes problems, issues, or program requirements.
  • Evaluates work processes and makes recommendations for effective organizational changes. Conducts fact-finding and investigations into effective and efficient ways of managing an organization's work. Reviews internal processes and procedures, making recommendations for improvements to promote efficiency, effectiveness, and cost savings.
  • Performs statistical data collection requirements activities, such as preparing, processing, and coordinating ad hoc and standing collection requirements. Ensures the collection of statistical data and use of collection systems to satisfy immediate, mid-range, and long-term statistical data collection requirements.
