Duties:
The incumbent serves as Deputy Director of the Statistical Operations Division of the Bureau of Justice Statistics.
The incumbent supervises unit chiefs who are responsible for statistical collections and programs, overseeing the administration of, and providing technical directions to, the unit chiefs on a variety of national statistical data collections and programs in the Statistical Operations Division.
The incumbent serves as a key member of the management team and participates in the day-to-day operations of the Bureau, with responsibilities for preparing matters for decisions by the director; carrying out efforts to implement plans, policies and programs; and completing ad hoc senior-level tasks as assigned.
The incumbent carries out management duties and responsibilities, including preparing responses to requests for statistics or other information from leadership components of the Department of Justice (DOJ), the White House, or Congress.
The incumbent serves as Deputy Director of the Statistical Operations Division of the Bureau of Justice Statistics.

The incumbent collaborates with the Principal Deputy Director, the Deputy Director of the Policy Division, and the Deputy Director of the Planning and Operations Division as necessary to coordinate responses to outside requests for information and to support the Bureau's operations for efficient and effective execution of policies, plans, procedures, and products.
