    The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency has an opening for a Sex Offender Treatment Assistant to join our dedicated Sex Offender teams in the Community Supervision Services Division in the Special Supervision, Branch. The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency presents our nation's capital with a unique opportunity to create a new level of offender supervision, which in turn will provide a safer environment for our citizens.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    Applicant must be United States Citizen or National. Failure to certify US Citizenship may result in your application not being considered.
    Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation, drug testing, and favorable adjudication. (See Other Significant Facts)

Duties:

  • Performs work related to the gathering and development of materials, and reporting of activities in support of the technical projects for the Sex Offender Treatment program.
  • Serves as the Sex Offender Treatment program's liaison to the budget and/or finance office to provide information, monitor budgets, submit requests or changes, and similar activities. Assembles and compiles preliminary data for use by the staff in estimating funds needed for the unit's program and activities. Based on information received from the staff, assists in the compilation of the annual budget which is submitted for review and approval. Maintains operating plan records showing allocations and current status of allotted funds for the Sex Offender Treatment program. Keeps the staff informed of surpluses and deficits and make adjustments as directed. Reviews and monitors output reports generated by the automated budgeting system. Makes audits of reports, expense accounts, and other vouchers related to the Sex Offender Treatment program; determines that necessary funds are available and that expenditures are in accordance with fiscal regulations. Assembles accounting data and complies periodic or special financial, statistical, and other Sex Offender Treatment reports.
  • Performs work required to complete periodic oversight reviews for the Sex Offender Treatment program.
