This vacancy announcement may be used to fill more than one vacancy for the Information Technology Specialist position up to one year.
The full performance level is GS-13. This position may be filled at either the GS-09 level or the GS-11 level. Regardless of what grade selection is made, upon completion of qualification requirements and satisfactory performance, the selectee may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade levels, up to GS-13.
The work requires regular and recurring lifting and carrying of objects of heavy weight (up to 50 pounds) and occasional lifting and carrying of heavier materials. Some work may require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the work site. Must be able to move furniture away from the walls to access jacks or run cabling to install IT equipment, remove heavy equipment in the offices, conference rooms, etc. Must be able to use a hand truck, dolly, climb ladder, and use of a flat bed.
