Provides consultation to managers on developing public affairs activities and materials for internal and external use. Advises on potential media and public reaction to proposed policies and programs.

Plans and provides expert guidance on media affairs programs involving issues that are controversial or of significant public or Congressional interest, such as Department of Justice (DOJ) OJP programs involving cost overruns, untested technology, or environmental or safety concerns.

Plans and directs all phases of newsroom response to inquiries, statements, press releases, media advisories, op-eds, letters to the editors, and more.
