  • The format being used to solicit this contract proposal was designed for employment applications, and therefore contains some information and questions that do not apply to contract positions.     Note: This is a Personal Services Contract Position (Contractor) and is not a Peace Corps Federal job or Volunteer position.

    The salary for this position will range between $2,000.00 and $2,500.00 per month and final determination will be made upon selection. The final determination of the salary will not be negotiated.

  • Ability to travel internationally is required.

    A valid passport is required; some locations require a visa and/or vaccinations and/or preventative medicine. Applicants should identify any medical or travel restrictions which would prevent them from traveling to specific countries. This information should be included in the 'Additional Information' area of the application.

    Duties will include travel to and work in under-developed countries which could require great flexibility to handle unexpected difficulties.

  • Responsible for providing training programs and technical guidance to Trainees in the Health sector program for Peace Corps/Paraguay, according to Peace Corps protocols, with the intent of facilitating Trainees mastery of technical competencies.

    Strong knowledge of training design, implementation and evaluation processes, including the principles of Adult Learning, the Experiential Learning Cycle, Non-Formal Education techniques and familiarity with 4MAT session design.

    Familiarization with budget and logistical planning that includes identifying and obtaining the resources needed to implement the technical training.

    Understanding of key concepts and methods of monitoring and evaluation.

    Experience in supervision and monitoring trainee progress and performance in carrying out technical assignments; and ability to effectively provide materials, guidance, and feedback on Trainee progress.

    Ability in the preparation and facilitation of relevant technical training materials including sessions plans, manuals, handouts, visual aids, etc.

    Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in both Spanish and English, Guarani as a plus.

    Experience and strong aptitude in the facilitation of technical training sessions and methodologies.

    Ability to provide guidance, technical and psychosocial support to Trainees during Pre-service Training.

    Ability to establish and measure learning activities against behavioral objectives, competencies, and qualification criteria for Trainees; makes adjustments as required to ensure relevant technical training.

    Ability to develop and model strong and respectful relationships with host country counterparts, home-stay families and Peace Corps Volunteers and staff.

    Willingness to support currently serving Volunteers to assist in the implementation of select technical training sessions.

    Fosters and maintains positive relationships, a spirit of cooperation, and teamwork with all staff, Volunteers, and Trainees.

    Respects and encourages local language immersion for Trainees. Emphasizes and models professional cross-cultural aspects throughout training.
  • Plans and administers projects or programs, including scheduling and layout of operations, planning for budget and cost requirements, and inspection and surveillance of materials, methods, and equipment used in testing, evaluation, and applications. Organizes, schedules, coordinates, and facilitates the timing, sequence, quality, quantity, and issues related to all such projects and work requests.
  • Provides administrative support and guidance for organizational budgeting and financial management activities. Provides advice to management and program personnel on budgetary and finance issues such as budget formulation, justification, and execution; financial management; and financial reporting.
