The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency's (CSOSA) has an opening for a Human Resources Specialist (Human Resource Development) to join our dedicated team and gain invaluable experience working in the public interest to support the fair administration of justice.

Duties:

  • The Incumbent works with managers, supervisors and other staff to develop and administer the training curriculum for employees assigned to the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency with an expertise and focus on Community Supervision. The incumbent must have experience in the Community Supervision (Probation/Parole) field, as he/she will be responsible for planning and developing training for CSOSA Community Supervision Officers, who have a direct impact on public safety.
  • Performs duties related to planning, initiating, and/or conducting employee training and development program surveys, studies, or evaluations. Conducts annual assessment of staff development needs to support the mission and program of the Agency.
  • Provides managers and employees with information about the organization's employee training and development policies, procedures, guidelines, advantages, and opportunities. Prepares performance metrics, class evaluations and course completion exams. Understands and applies the latest theories and practices of adult learning, education and training. Coordinates with local and federal public safety and criminal justice organizations to develop training on issues of mutual concern.
  • Provides advice and guidance on statements of work being developed for contractor-provided training for the Agency, or vendor-developed training products for the agency. Develops specifications for contracts, programs, and curriculum for officers who perform case management services that include but are not limited to monitoring offender activities, documenting compliance with the terms and special conditions set forth by the releasing authority and tracking program participation through an automated case management system.
