As an OJP employee, you will serve as a Facilities Management Specialist in the Office of Administration, Support Services Division operational support and oversight of facility services for government-leased space, to include building operations and maintenance of work space and common areas.

Duties:

  • Maintain cooperative relationships and initiates contacts for the purpose of supporting building management duties.
  • Directs building management programs in small buildings or other facilities with standard, conventional operating equipment. Typically, facilities operated at this level have a few hundred thousand square feet, house several hundred occupants, and are used for a variety of purposes, such as offices, public information centers, and warehouses or distribution facilities. Mechanical systems required to service buildings at this level include those necessary to provide occupants with utilities and temperature controls (electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems), but maintenance and operating requirements are generally stable and predictable. Occupants housed at this level include a few small field offices (i.e., 7-10) of larger agency components. Occupants may also comprise of the engineering or claims processing staff of one agency. Service needs of occupants are generally stable and recurring, and relate primarily to providing adequate building maintenance. The need for extensive renovation or alteration to facilities is infrequent.
