Notes:

  • These positions are for Temporary Excepted Service Appointments under the Pathways Internship Program, not to exceed 9/30/2017.

    This announcement will be utilized to fill internship positions in various offices across OJP.

    Pathways Program Interns will have an opportunity to assist OJP program offices with a broad range of projects and tasks. Descriptions of the various organizations within OJP can be found at http://ojp.gov/about/bureaus.htm

    Full-Time or Part-Time schedules available.

Duties:

  • Under the Pathways Internship Program, the student receives work experience that is directly related to the student's educational program and career goals. The student also acquires and increases knowledge, skills, and abilities in performing work in a field of study, and accomplishes assignments with increasing independence.

    Major duties in this Student Trainee position include, but are not limited to:
    -Assist higher level personnel on various assignments.
    -Use several types of office automation tools, such as word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, and database management skills to compile and manipulate information into various formats.
    -Collect data from a variety of available reference sources and prepare reports to present patterns and trends in program activities.
    -Assemble materials for staff associated with briefings, conferences, and meetings.
