Duties:

  • Provides advice and guidance to resolve or implement policy issues that involve major areas of uncertainty in approach or methodology.
  • Prepares reports and/or written analyses regarding OJJDP policies and positions on difficult or complex matters.
  • Scans the field for emerging issues, innovations, best practices, and critical needs in order to inform program and budget development, legislative initiatives, and agency communication strategies and products.
  • Provides expert guidance in the resolution of complex problems or issues impacting DOJ programs, such as cross cutting Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention issues involving other federal agencies. Participates in the analysis of OJP-wide projects and programs.
