Duties:

  • Conducts research and analyzes data. Improves management of operations in areas like funding, workload distribution, work processes, inventory requirements, administrative procedures, paperwork management and organizational structure.
    Maintains and prepares all reports required by the Deputy Director. Processes, records and enters time and attendance information. Enters and reports on data regarding budget and travel. Extracts data and prepares reports. Purchases goods and services from the Federal Supply Schedule or the open market in amounts up to approved limits. Assists in updating and maintaining program standard operating procedures. Ensures program documents are saved appropriately.

  • Monitors the correspondence management system to ensure timely responses to controlled correspondence, including letters, Freedom of Information Act requests and Main Justice correspondence. Prepares materials to maintain the office web page. Provides technical assistance and support to staff regarding development, formatting, tracking and publication of formal policy documents including, but not limited to, proposed and final regulations; information, procedural and policy notices; correspondence related to rulemaking; and guidance memoranda.

    Provides direct clerical support to the Deputy Director for Programs. Provides clerical support to the Deputy Director's staff. Schedules interviews and meetings. Greets and escorts guests to the office. Assists with correspondence. Maintains files and databases. Takes notes at meetings and follows up on taskings from meetings to ensure follow-through. Assists staff with travel arrangements. Answers phone calls and routes them.
