ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


Performed information technology (IT)-related work in a thorough manner, with attention to detail and concern for all areas involved.


Communicated effectively with individuals or groups in formal or informal information technology (IT) settings, expressing and/or presenting a variety of information (e.g., factual, conceptual, technical, sensitive, controversial, etc.).

Fulfilled internal and external information technology (IT) client and customer needs, providing information, assistance, and/or training, resolving problems; explaining system and product functionality; and satisfying expectations.

Identified problems and causation factors and generated solutions and/or offered recommendations for a variety of confirmed information technology (IT) problems.

Provided cloud-based infrastructure as a service (IAAS) and software as a service (SAAS) and providing Windows based end user computing (desktop, laptop) services.


MINIMUM FEDERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


Grade 15:


Qualifying experience for the GS-15 level requires IT-related experience that demonstrates each of the following four competencies: Attention to Detail; Customer Service; Oral Communication; and Problem Solving; AND one (1) year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-14 level. Specialized experience is experience that is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience must be IT-related and may be paid or unpaid experience.


Example of specialized experience for positions at the GS-15 level, typically gained in the IT field or through performance of work where the primary concern is IT, includes experience analyzing a number of alternative approaches when advising management concerning major aspects of IT system design. The experience demonstrates accomplishment of IT project assignments requiring knowledge of IT requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled.

Agency Marketing Statement:


Duties:

  • Responsible for the operations and maintenance of Office of Justice Programs (OJP) enterprise infrastructure.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates personal computer, local area network (LAN) services, telecommunications infrastructure and services, and overall enterprise infrastructure support for those program and business offices within OJP.
  • Serves as the focal point for OJP's office automation solutions and services and provides related information, guidance, support, and organizational policy.

    Ensures that OJP's enterprise infrastructure is maintained and operated in alignment and adherence with existing and evolving Government cybersecurity related regulations and initiatives (ex: Office of Management and Budget's Cybersecurity Strategy and Implementation Plan (CISP)).

    Designs solutions leading to the acquisition of new equipment in support of the OJP's overall data communications objectives.
