If so, the Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Justice Programs, (OJP), is seeking a high performing individual to serve as an Inventory Management Specialist.

Notes:

  • This position is located in the Asset Management Branch, Business Resources Division (BRD), Office of Administration (OA), Office of Justice Programs (OJP). OA's mission is to provide management support services in and related to acquisition management, building and facilities management, and human resources administration. OA is a large, complex organization that includes a variety of different categories of staff and contractors involved in a wide range of professional, technical, and administrative support occupations. The incumbent facilitates the accomplishment of OA's mission by providing direction and internal/external coordination for the agency's asset management program.

Duties:

  • Performs duties related to the management, coordination, and control of property or equipment. Develops, conducts, and/or implements policies and procedures required to maintain an equipment control program.
  • Manages financial aspects of property portfolios.
  • Accomplishes work related to the conceptualization, design, documentation, and management of business, commercial, industrial, and micro-industrial programs or projects. Designs, documents, and evaluates mission-specific and/or centralized business, commercial, industrial, and micro-industrial programs or projects.
  • Evaluates the various options, including repair, sales, destruction or abandonment, transfer to other areas, or donations.
  • Identifies the type of property, and researches the type, quantity, age, condition, and various uses of property and its component parts, and compares information with property requirements of various activities and agencies.
