  • The US Commission On Civil Rights (USCCR) has an immediate need for a Information Technology Specialist. USCCR takes on matters pertaining to civil rights that affect the people of the United States. In addition to the myriad of federal benefits, USCCR offers a flexible work schedule.

Notes:

  • This vacancy announcement may be used to fill more than one vacancy for the Information Technology Specialist position up to one year.

    The full performance level is GS-13. This position may be filled at either the GS-09 level or the GS-11 level. Regardless of what grade selection is made, upon completion of qualification requirements and satisfactory performance, the selectee may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade levels, up to GS-13.

Duties:

  • Plans and delivers customer support services, including installations, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training, in response to customer requirements.
  • Performs or participates in a range of information technology (IT) management activities that extend or apply to an entire organization or major components of an organization. IT management activities include strategic planning, capital planning and investment control, workforce planning, policy and standards development, resource management, knowledge management, architecture and infrastructure planning and management, auditing, and information security management.
  • Plans, develops, and implements systems and IT policy changes.
