Duties:

  • -Assist probation officers in compiling criminal histories/profiles, running record checks through local and national databases and files, conducting inquiries with collateral agencies, collecting verifiable and supportable documentation, and performing similar activities. Enter data and information into the office's computerized database system.
    -May assist officers in entering schedules for defendants/offenders on Location Monitoring by accessing the contracting agencies database or via telephone.
    -Format, type, edit, and finalize reports and correspondence. This may include, but is not limited to, documents such as criminal history collateral responses and bail or presentence investigation reports.
    -May assist officers in monitoring of administrative type caseloads.
    -Maintain and mail or transport urinalysis tests and materials to laboratories for confirmation. Maintain inventory of supplies.
    -Prepare and process forms and documents, ensuring consistency and accuracy among court- supplied documents, officer reports, and related paperwork. Contact various local, state, and national law enforcement and regulatory agencies to collect and record information to assist with investigations.
    -Obtain related records regarding offenders/defendants, following established practices and protocols. Prepare and update case files at the direction of an officer and in accordance with established policies and practices.
    -Where applicable, may assist officers and non-English speaking offenders/defendants, family members, and witnesses in translating, including translating documents and correspondence.
    -Enter and maintain official case record data from initial opening to final disposition.
    -Electronically file court documents via the court's case management system (CM/ECF) and electronically submit appropriate documents to the Bureau of Prisons and United States Sentencing Commission.
    -Review and validate treatment services invoices for services rendered. Ensure accuracy when processing invoices. Distribute invoices to the appropriate party within set timelines. Upload treatment reports to corresponding client file.
    -Provide general office support as needed.
    -Perform related duties as required.
