MINIMUM FEDERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 14:
Qualifying experience for the GS-14 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-13 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience is developing strategic communications and outreach programs on a local or national level to increase public awareness of an agency's mission, policies, and procedures; establishing and maintaining liaison with production/publishing companies to facilitate ongoing flow of positive information about an agency to local and national audiences; responding to information requests from the news media and general public on an organization's programs.
Grade 15:
Qualifying experience for the GS-15 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-14 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience is expertise in strategic messaging efforts, including integrating communications, marketing and brand recognition strategies internally and externally for the purpose of increasing awareness of, and confidence in, the agency's key exhibitions, programs and initiatives. Experience in cultivating strategic partnerships with key inter-agencies and external stakeholders, including news media, national and international organizations, state and federal government officials, and technical research authorities.
