Duties:

  • Health, Retirement, and Long-Term Analysis Division is seeking an analyst for its Long-Term Analysis Unit (LTAU) to cover immigration issues. The analyst will improve the agencys projections of immigration and other demographics and assist with estimates of legislative proposals related to immigration policy. The analyst may also assist in the development and use of CBOs long-term microsimulation model. LTAU carries out CBOs long-term modeling initiatives, providing the Congress with 30-year projections of the federal budget under current law, and performs analyses of long-term trends and policy options related to retirement, disability, and health care. Analysts in LTAU work closely with analysts in CBOs other divisionsincluding the Macroeconomic Analysis, Tax Analysis, and Budget Analysis Divisionsand make important contributions to CBOs work, including its Long-Term Budget Outlook.
