Duties:

• As the Senior Systems Accountant within OFM, the incumbent is responsible for agency-level accounting data integrity, financial reporting and financial management systems. Conducts comprehensive analyses of financial management data, ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, develops accounting and financial reporting policy, and initiates changes in financial systems necessary to improve effectiveness and/or meet reporting requirements. Serves as the Agency's financial audit manager and primary liaison with financial auditors.
  
  Identifies, interprets and implements required Federal accounting regulations and financial reporting standards. Identifies the impact of financial reporting standard changes on Agency financial management systems and the Standard General Ledger.

• Provides expert technical advice related to complex bodies of financial management legislation and regulations (e.g. Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB), U.S. Treasury Financial Management, Government Accountability Office (GAO), and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

• Develops, reviews, and submits all Agency financial reporting data in a timely and accurate manner, utilizing Federal financial reporting tools, (e.g., Government-wide Treasury Account Symbol Adjusted Trial Balance System (GTAS), Intra-Government Payment and Collection (IPAC) system, Central Accounting Reporting System (CARS).
  
  Develops, reviews, and submits all Agency financial reporting data in a timely and accurate manner, utilizing Federal financial reporting tools, (e.g., Government-wide Treasury Account Symbol Adjusted Trial Balance System (GTAS), Intra-Government Payment and Collection (IPAC) system, Central Accounting Reporting System (CARS).
• Serves as technical authority for new and advanced financial management systems and interfaces. Serves as an expert authority on the control, analysis and reconciliation of complex, integrated accounts with multiple accounting classes and/or appropriation codes (e.g., Multi-year, Annual, No-year), reimbursable activity and/or special funds. Studies and validates financial management system accounts, user access, data structure, reports and procedural instructions in the context of Federal regulatory, internal control and administrative requirements.
  Serves as technical authority for new and advanced financial management systems and interfaces.
