Duties:

  • Develops, analyzes, and interprets grant and/or cooperative agreement policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and guidelines as they relate to public health and public safety detection and mitigation strategies for confinement facilities, managing detainee/resident/inmate populations, improving justice system responses to and outcomes for criminal justice populations with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic and/or other related programs.


    Provides training, technical assistance and guidelines, oversight, expertise and consultation to internal staff, management and program officials, awardees, review panels, applicants, recipients, and sub-recipients on public health and public safety around Covid-19 detection and mitigation strategies for confinement facilities.
  • Develops content of program models and strategies and related solicitations and manages the review of applications from solicitations and calls for papers related to public safety detection and mitigation strategies for confinement facilities.
  • Researches and prepares a variety of written materials such as researching program trends and preparing correspondence, memoranda, white papers, or other documents relevant to public health and public safety detection and mitigation strategies for confinement facilities related to COVID-19.
  • Serves as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Monitors the contractor's efforts and progress in meeting the requirements of the contract. Communicates with the Contracting Officer regarding progress or lack of progression and compliance with the contract requirements.
