MINIMUM FEDERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


Grade 14:


Qualifying experience for the GS-14 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-13 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples are providing expert analysis and advice on complex criminal justice performance management program issues; managing special projects for crimiinal justice performance management of broad impact; or managing special cross cutting initiatives or task force groups to accomplish programmatic goals.

Notes:

  • OJP is seeking results-oriented professionals to join our team and build solutions to address evidence-based, "smart on crime" approaches in criminal and juvenile justice.

Duties:

  • This position is in the Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Assistance, in the Operations office. This position involves overseeing development of performance metrics for BJA Programs with the emphasis on measuring outcomes of BJA investments.

    Conducts analysis of performance management data and oversees regular reports to BJA grantees on performance to identify success in meeting targets and areas for improvement.

    Manages criminal justice studies of complex performance data to improve outcomes of BJA programs. Conducts data validation processes to ensure reliability of performance data.

    Plans and manages criminal justice performance management projects for over 25 justice programs from the concept development stage through implementation and management. Identifies requirements, develops technical and administrative approaches, and coordinates project resources, including project costs, human resources, scheduled completion timeframes, etc.
  • Lead internal criminal justice performance management efforts. Conduct comprehensive studies and detailed analyses of complex functions and processes.
