Duties:

• The successful candidate will contribute to the full range of CBOs responsibilities for analyzing policy issues related to energy and the environment, transportation and infrastructure, market structure and competition in regulated industries, and international trade. Those responsibilities include identifying data sources and developing models to conduct economic analyses, staying abreast of the emerging literature (including theoretical, empirical, and experimental results with practical consequences for policy analysis), and writing CBO reports and testimonies. Topics of analyses will shift over time, regularly providing new opportunities to contribute. Staff members are encouraged to actively participate in the policy research community by presenting papers at conferences, publishing articles in professional journals, and circulating preliminary research through CBOs working paper series.
