MINIMUM FEDERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


Grade 13:


Qualifying experience for the GS-13 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-12 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples are planning and preparing reports, inquiries to identify relevant issues or other documents related to Congressional and intergovernmental issues for major organizational programs.

Duties:

  • Develops, conducts, analyzes, and manages the full range of congressional affairs activities for the Office of Justice Programs.
  • Develops official responses to ensure the reply answers the query, identifies corrective actions, controls established and attempts to respond fully to Members of Congress, Congressional Committees and staff.
  • Develops and coordinates information distribution through congressional briefings, e-mails, and other written and oral correspondence.

    Serves on intra-agency project teams to troubleshoot problem areas, devise solutions, and implement updated procedures related to congressional and/or intergovernmental affairs.
  • Performs duties in support of the information, internal communications, and liaison activities for an organizational program. Acts as liaison with persons or groups within and/or outside of the organization to disseminate information about program requirements.
