The agency is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to serve as its principal IT adviser and to lead, manage, and work alongside the staff of the 13-person Information Resource Management and Technology Services Unit. The unit is responsible for the acquisition, implementation, management, and support of most of the agency's technical resources and services, including computers, software, data, telecommunications, network infrastructure, servers, IT security, virtual technology, and help desk operations.
The CIO, who reports to the Chief Administrative Officer, is responsible for managing all of the agency's IT functions, programs, and initiatives including strategic, capital, and operational plans and related budgets; enterprise architecture; servers, computers, and all other hardware; virtual technology; software; data; IT security; and help desk operations. Advising and interacting with CBO's leaders, the CIO is tasked with delivering highly reliable, cost-effective, and secure IT services. As a small agency, CBO requires a unique ability to be equally strategic and hands-on.
