Duties:

  • Develops community outreach, support and public information initiatives that are designed to facilitate community-oriented criminal justice supervision programs. These programs are designed to increase offender accountability, respond to community concerns and enhance public safety.
  • Performs work related to developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders in various levels of government, private industry, and/or academic institutions to communicate and disseminate information about program mission and activities.
  • Advise and provides guidance, including interpretations, opinions, or decisions, regarding programs or policies. Consultations involve assessment of program or policy conditions, phenomena, or anomalies.

    Prepares written and oral status reports to apprise supervisor of community response and community needs, and to respond to community concerns and program adjustments necessary to meet specific community priorities.

    Keeps CSOSA leadership and members of the community apprised of the status of programs, community responses, and community needs by tracking programs/initiatives' progress, and by developing and submitting status reports. Assesses success of community relations programs, identifies problem areas and develops adjustments as necessary.
    Provides advice and guidance to resolve, implement, or manage program or policy issues that involve major areas of uncertainty in approach or methodology.
  • Plans and/or supports committees, boards, symposia, or conferences.
