  • The Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs (OJP) is a great place to work! With more than 90 percent of OJP's positions eligible to telework, OJP is at the cutting edge of using mobility to enhance productivity and meet our important mission.

Duties:

  • Writes, edits, and reviews reports or information materials for diverse audiences. Identifies data sources and highlights key issues and program requirements. Writes succinct and well-referenced summaries.

    Drafts programs, policies, functions, and topics that affect agency mission, such as statistical reports, press releases, brochures, and reports to congress. Reviews new material for factual accuracy, timeliness, completeness, responsiveness, and copyright compliance.
  • Creates or edits statistical graphics and tables using standard desktop software when required. Prepares page layouts of reports for publication, incorporating text, tables, graphics, and footnotes using desktop publishing system.

    Consults with editorial team on the maintenance of a master schedule of publications through all phases of production. Consults with the technical editor and the Chief of the Publication and Dissemination Unit to determine size, complexity, timing, and priority of publications under development.
