Established in 1957, the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights is a small independent federal agency commissioned to investigate complaints alleging that citizens are being deprived of their civil rights; study and collect information relating to discrimination or a denial of equal protection, appraise federal laws and policies; serve as a national clearinghouse for information in respect to discrimination or denial of equal protection of the laws, and submit reports, findings, and recommendation to the President and Congress; and educate the public on civil rights. If all of the above excites you, then CCR is the place for you to intern. If you are a student pursing a Vocational and Technical Certificate, associate, baccalaureate, graduate, or doctorate degree, where appropriate, we are looking for YOU!
