Duties:

• The divisions Director collaborates with CBOs senior managers to formulate and implement a strategic agenda for the divisions analytical work-working closely with the divisions three other managers to oversee research and modeling as well as the development of reports produced by a staff of about 15 analysts, the majority of whom have a Ph.D. in economics. The divisions Director is responsible for ensuring that the division functions effectively and that its work continues to meet the highest standards. CBO's analyses of issues and legislative proposals receive considerable attention and scrutiny; they must reflect the best thinking and modeling to meet CBO's goal of providing the Congress with objective, nonpartisan analysis.
