Agency Marketing Statement:

  • Positions are in the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). BJA funds and provides technical assistance to state, tribal and local criminal justice agencies. Selectee will support the planning/development of criminal justice strategies/programs emphasizing the use of research/data; develop/manage solicitations; monitor training/technical assistance deliverables; and foster partnerships with the field. Selectee will be assigned to Adjudication, Justice Systems or Program Assessment/Innovation.

Duties:

  • Plans, coordinates and oversees implementation and assessment of assigned national level criminal justice policy initiatives, periodically evaluating and recommending ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of policy or program strategies.
  • Provides advice and guidance on assigned topics, assessing stakeholder needs, legislative requirements, current data and research, regarding assigned criminal justice programs or policies. Consultations involve assessment of criminal justice program or policy conditions, phenomena, or anomalies.
